![]() ![]() ![]() To become a fully licensed driver in Ontario, every new driver must go through a graduated licensing program that allows them to learn in a controlled environment. ![]() G1 and G2 drivers are required to maintain zero blood alcohol at all times (and zero THC), and there are additional restrictions in terms of which roads you are allowed to drive on, what times you are allowed to drive and the number of passengers you are allowed to transport. Since 1994, every new driver that wants to be licensed to drive in Ontario has to go through a three tier graduated licensing system that allows them to learn under controlled conditions over 2-5 years.
